Megan Snoops #1

We all love snooping through other people's stuff. Seeing what they use, a little part of their day, packed into their washroom or a little bag.

I'm starting a bit on this blog called Megan Snoops, where I ask my friends and family if I can go through their makeup bags to take pictures for my blog.


Today we will be going through my little sister Jenna's makeup bag. Her full collection is at our mother's house, but this is what she brings with her when we go to our dad's. It's a cute little soft case from a City Color cosmetics set.

Let's see what's in here!


Face products:
-Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. She hit pan, yay!
-Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. She swears by it.
-A Rimmel stick concealer for under her eyes.
-Almay Smart Shade Tinted Moisturizer in Light.
-Revlon cream blush.


Here's a close up of the blush. She uses a brush for it so it gets gunked up with hairs...


Eye products:
-Elizabeth Arden mascara mini
-Bourjois Max Volume mascara mini ( she loves this stuff!)
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (I got this for her and she loves me forever for it)
-Urban Decay original primer potion deluxe size (also from me)
-An eyelash curler
-Smashbox brow powder/wax
-L'oreal superliner and brow pencil
-Stila Stay All Day waterproof liquid eye liner pen in Black (a gift from me! Can you tell I love giving her presents?)



Lips:
-Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Sexpot
-Too Faced Melted lipstick in Melted Peony
-Maybelline baby lips in something melon?
-MAC lipstick in Faux
-Smith's Minted Rose lip balm

Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid. Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages. It was my first foray into high-end eyeshadow- picked up for a measly 15 bucks when I went on vacation to Washington, D.C. I believe it was part of a holiday collection, and I grabbed it out of the sale bin the following spring.
