What's in My Makeup Bag? March 4th, 2015

Earlier this week I posted Megan Snoops. Now it's your turn to do the snooping!  Here's a short post of what I brought in my makeup bag for touch-ups at school today.


Here's my bag itself in all its glory.


It was a pretty neutral day!

Products:

Benefit's They're Real! The mascara I've been using on a daily basis. I like to reapply often to see just how big my lashes can get!

Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in In the Flesh My perfect MLBB lipstick.

Maybelline Master Conceal in Fair Indispensible. Sometimes I forget I concealed a pimple and then I pick at it and need to reapply.

Rimmel Vinyl Lip Gloss This never leaves my school bag, but I thought it was worth showing anyway. It's a go-to lip gloss for when I'm bored with my lip color and/or it's fading off. I'm trying to use it completely up.

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder For setting the concealer! And brushing on my forehead when it gets grody.

Quo Buffing Brush For applying the powder.

Flower Cosmetics Color Play Crème Eye Shadow in Awesome Blossom My eye product of choice for the day, just picked it up yesterday. It's holding up very nicely, I haven't needed to reapply! Review is in the works!

Review: Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon

Hey guys, long time no post! I'm here today to review the new Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon. This is an interesting product for sure- one of the many new and exciting things Maybelline has put out for us this spring. The crayon is a short, chubby pencil that is supposed to be a brow pomade in crayon form. There are obviously drawbacks to this design- while it's a cool concept, frankly, the thing is huge. Maybelline definitely should have gone with something a lot less thick. I got the shade Dark Brown, I believe. As you can see, while the product is sharp now, it doesn't take much to run it down and I fear for the day this becomes too nubby to use (I've been using it on an angle so far). The formula, however, is pretty gorgeous. It's soft and emollient, but amazingly pigmented. It gives a soft effect rather than a harsh line. Here are my brows with no product in them. May Favourites 2016!

May went by so slowly for me, but it was a month of excitement for sure! Eurovision happened and I got a job! Let's see what I loved through this month. A lot of oldies in here! First I've got some Makeup Geek shadows to talk about, and for once, I'm not waxing poetic about their Foiled eyeshadows. Makeup Geek's matte shadows in Chickadee (left) and Cocoa Bear (right) are deserving of all the hype they get. They pair together perfectly to create a warm crease. I'd never actually owned a warm medium brown eyeshadow before this, and let me just say- where have I been?! I've been wearing them all month and the only complaint I have is that now I'm in a bit of an eyeshadow rut because I don't want to wear anything else! Here's them both in my crease with Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Center Stage on the lid. Products I've Hit Pan On!

Whenever I look back on my instagram to see which posts were the most popular, it's always the posts featuring products I've #hitpan on. The panning community in general is awesome, so I figured I'd do a post showing all the products in my collection that currently have some pan going on! And I'm sure I'll have another post like this soon, because I have so many products, particularly eyeshadows, that are soooo close to hitting pan. Anyways- let's get into the good stuff! First up is this Too Faced Jingle All the Way "phone palette" that I've had for ages. It was my first foray into high-end eyeshadow- picked up for a measly 15 bucks when I went on vacation to Washington, D.C. I believe it was part of a holiday collection, and I grabbed it out of the sale bin the following spring.
